The place smelled so good as I walked by I couldn't pass it up. With how noisy the atmosphere was from the live music I thought it would be hard to order, but as they asked me about the options I wanted they held up these cards so I could understand and just I thought it was so cool. The barbecue chicken sandwich topped with coleslaw was amazing and I will be back.
Not the best BBQ. Brisket tacos too greasyMeat and sauce not special. Service was great but must stand to eat. Chairs not permitted. Very disappointed.
The Tacos!!! Forget standing in line elsewhere, these tacos are insane! They we're massive and the order came with three. My husband had to eat my third one, after finishing his pulled pork sandwich. The tanginess of the carnitas with the mellowness of the crema, makes these cravable.I was devastated when Mermaids was demolished and Nathan's, with it. Then Dupars closed and it seemed like there was nothing on this end of the row, other than Hash House ( a good option) at The Plaza. I am thrilled that solid comfort food at a reasonable price is available. The staff is super friendly and I hope they will still be around when the new building is up and running.
Awesome experience all the way around. Friendly service from both kitchen and servers. Chips were PERFECT! Had the brisket. It was tender and tasty. Best find on Fremont St.
Very good food and fun location
I like the outdoorsy style vibe. Plus being a food truck. Pulled pork has good flavor
Would love to tell you all about a great BBQ Pulled Prok sandwich and Coleslaw but I CAN'T because I never got it. I get dinning credits from local casinos every month and rarely use them. When The D and Golden Gate sent theirs I noticed Project BBQ and I was in! I had passed by numerous times and the smell will drive you crazy. So I tried to use the dining credits but their reader for players card was down. Waited for over 40 minutes for the manager/owner to figure it out. Watched over a dozen people who came after me get served and eat. Not sure if business is so bad that one sandwich may put them under? A big part of eating out is customer service and while your food may be too notch guys your service sucked and it was a total fail on the part owner/manager. I could be telling my 600 Facebook friends to go check you out. But not is's a definite go somewhere else when grabbing a bite Downtown.
Timothy at Project BBQ greeted us warmly and a most gracious food truck host with the most! The sampler taco basket was super tasty and satisfying for two of us. Great lunch stop while at Fremont Street Experience :-)
Was there the day after our Wedding. Saw the menu with smoked mac and cheese with meat on top so had to try. Hands down the best Smoked mac and cheese with some delicious well cooked brisket on top!! I don't eat bbq out much because I like my own that much but this was well worth it! Thanks for the AWESOME BBQ
Best bbq downtown. The Garbage Bowl is as must get. Had it several times and never been a disappointment!
Fremont Street is one a kind must see and do.
Kaena is hands down the best worker there, she gives great customer service and always knows what is good to order
IF YOU DONT TRY THIS PLACE YOU MISSING ON A REALLY REALLY GOOD MEAL.
The quality of their food is good, I recommend "THE GARBAGE BOWL" it's homemade potatoe chips loadded with chicken, bbq pork, brisket topped with coleslaw…..😋😍😍😍😍
Yummy tacos, a bit greasy but perfect location and decent food for the price
Just got my first ever order of BBQ Rib Tips. I LOVE THEM! Just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Just the right amount of tenderness. Not mushy like most BBQ ribs. I would go back there more often if they were closer to me. I highly recommend them; it is so hard to find really good bar-b-que.
great draft and bbq
I have been to Project BBQ several times and always ❤❤❤ it! Tonight though, I ordered the project chips excitedly looking forward to a known fave. The gentleman in the truck hollered out "that's the absolute last project chip you can sell tonight." I get even more excited that I got the last order :) I go sit, my hubby brings them over and they are tortilla chips instead of the amazing homemade potato chips.... still really good, but I feel played and was disappointed. A heads up - actuallly we are all out of potato chips, but I can substitute or refund would've been nice. Next time I will get there before an hour before close to make sure I get the real project chips before they sell out!
Belive me subway is better option, 14$ for this tiny sour sendwich :)))
Stopped by after the mob museum and we had the garbage bowl and pulled pork samwich. Was very good and filling enough for three people. The staff was very pleasant.
Foods great, perfect portions good price and super fast! Love love love
Carolina Style BBQ! Great Smoked Brisket sandwich paired with a sweet cilantro type Cole slaw that helps cut right through the Cider vinegar BBQ sauce. They have a very popular item called the Garbage Bowl that is loaded with homemade chips and topped with all the meats like Brisket, pulled pork and BBQ chicken. They started doing Smoked Brisket Mac and Cheese sandwich that is a must try!!! Great location and atmosphere for any type of occasions. They also do this $100 Sandwich that is 2 foot long roll and loaded with everything on their truck!!! Welcome to the BENJAMIN CLUB!!!
That was the worst bbq I've ever eaten. I ordered a smoked beef brisket sandwich. The slaw was horrible. I couldn't tell if I was given beef brisket and the meat had no smoke or seasonings. The bread was soaked with liquid and was inedible. The missing ingredients (the smoke, seasonings and more attention to the way the sandwich was prepared) would have made this sandwich edible.
Every body is so friendly it made my day specially the cook Mello I think that's his name..the food is the bomb and the prices are great. This food is first class...love this place.
The best Pulled Pork in the Fremont Experience! You have to stop and try one of these! They are done with one of the best pulled pork recipes ever! Quick and juicy stop while you listen to the bands and watch people come and go.
Loved it. Ono food.
Project BBQ was delicious!! The cashier champagne was friendly and the cooks Brian and Michael were nice as well. Highly recommend!!!
Tacos were delicious! They let us choose different meats since we were splitting them. Impressed with how clean everything was. Employee was constantly wiping everything down and they had hand sanitizer and wipes for your hands after diving into the awesome chips 😀
Really good food. Very unique environment. A little on the pricey side but it is downtown in the tourist area so you should expect that. Staff were super friendly!
Great late night food.
WOW this place is awesome, excellent food and owners are excellent !!!
Great service and pork was off the chain!! Gotta try this place
I wish we had a reliably good BBQ place like this at home - it's one of my favorite places we lucked out and ate at in Vegas! Get the garbage bowl - the chips are amazing - wish we had time (or room) to try the Churros!
The service is regularly prompt, excellent vibes, nice staff. I will eat here again when I arrive in the area.
I love this place! Fast, friendly and delicious. The beer cheese sauce is amazing.
I come to this place every time I go to Vegas. It's SO GOOD. The meat is tender and abundant. It seems a little expensive, $12 for 3 tacos, but they're loaded and filled me and my friend fully.
After having moved downtown a few months ago and once again finding myself making a nearly 2 mile round trip walk to have the pleasure of the ‘garbage bowl’ I realized that I owed a review. While having made the mistake of and having learned my lesson a month ago, said walk at 1pm at the peak of summer, my only regret was... not driving. The food (having only tried the one dish repeatedly) is delicious. Do yourself a favor and drop by if you are near Fremont or have an appreciation for bbq!
Awesome food truck with very tasty selections!
Made a stop in for lunch and site seeing Fremont Street with the family on our trip back to California. Found this little food truck on Fremont Street so we checked it out. Was weary at first since tacos were 11 dollars for 3 “street tacos”. Best street tacos I can recall ever having! The sauce was amazing and they were monstrous. I like to eat a lot and the 3 filled me up very good. I had the chicken. Only downside I guess would be that they have no chairs to sit down in. Just tables. I ate this food while sober as well so this isn’t just a drunken Vegas memory.
Some of the best BBQ I've had! The garbage bowl and the platter are amazing! We were in Vegas a week and drove to Fremont several times specially for Project BBQ. We will be back next year. Can't wait til they get into their building and expand. Keep smoking and putting out some of the most delicious food in Vegas. Job well done.
Very disappointing. The actual sandwich was half the size of the advertised picture and very little bbq sauce was on the meat. I had BBQ brisket and my friend had the pulled pork. Also, there were only 3 customers at that time so there is no excuse for poor sandwiches.
Wow, great place to eat after binge drinking king...great Bbq
Good food friendly staff
Pork taco was yummy! I don't usually prefer corn tortillas, but it was all very excellent!
We are vegetarians who walk by this place all the time. Hate to say it but it smells GREAT. Prices are fair for that area. If I did eat meat, never mind
Nice food truck style BBQ.
Best BBQ in Las Vegas. Located on The Fremont Street Experience. Must stop by for some Amazing BBQ!
Blank stare from chick taking order, very unwelcoming and food was given to someone else. Brisket tasted like it was premade bbq straight from the grocery store. Only redeeming thing was the cole slaw.
The project chips were amazing, so much so that we gave the guys a $10 tip after we had eaten them (which they were really shocked at), well worth a visit.
Was so disappointed to arrive and they were closed. According to maps it is open until 2 am but I think not. Got there at 1:30 and they couldn't be any more closed. Walked in the freezing cold to eat there .Sad day
